Star Wars Uncut – Dad and Daughter Nerds UNITE!

3 November 2009 One Comment

screenshotI stumbled across a project that seems to be reserved for the super-nerds….. which I am a card carrying member of. Since I believe that the nerd-torch should be passed down to the next generation, I have indoctrinated my two daughters thoroughly with the first few Star Wars movies. They are big fans now (mwoohahahaha!) Some of the scenes are a little too scary but I am skilled at clicking the remote and skipping to the next scene without being noticed. They became fans enough to (on their own desire) dress up as C3P0 and R2D2 last year on Halloween.

Back to the project…. it is called Star Wars Uncut. They took the first movie (Episode four) and chopped it into 15 second segments. People choose a 15 second clip and recreate it themselves. Once completed you upload the video and when all the scenes are completed, they will seam the movie together with the fan-created segments. Sounds crazy but it is actually pretty damn fun to do and funny as hell to watch. Check out the trailer.

Here is our first attempt. It looks a bit rough but yo, that’s how we roll.

A few shots from last years Halloween costumes…
